“Nature is my Inspiration”

As an artist I try to develop paintings that speak both to me and the viewer about the beauty that surrounds us. In sharing my art I hope to inspire others to take the time to explore the wonders of nature.

Biography

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania I always had the desire but not the means to pursue my passion in art. I credit the 19 years spent living in the heart of Europe for re-awakening this life-long passion. There I started taking classes and after my return to the United States I continued my studies at the local community college. With workshops, webinars, and group lessons I am refining my technique.

My chosen medium is oil and my painting style is best categorized as representational. I enjoy the way the paint adheres to the canvas and in seeing the colors evolve into a finished painting. I find it a demanding but rewarding process and get enormous satisfaction from the end result.

My paintings have been chosen for exhibition in juried art shows where I have received awards; sold locally through art venues and worldwide through the internet; and purchased by private collectors.
