Tanya Allason is a third generation artist and photographer originally from England and currently based in Las Vegas, NV.
Her interest in art began at an early age while watching her dad paint with watercolors and being shown her grandfathers work. As a teenager while attending secondary school in the UK, she experimented with colored pencils and made things from wood, plastic and metal.
When Tanya relocated to Las Vegas from Chicago, things really changed for her artistically. She joined several local artists guilds where she found like-minded people who helped get her reconnected with her love of art. Being a part of this artist community reignited her creativity and motivated her to participate in shows and exhibitions. As an avid oil painter and photographer, she likes to mix things up and creates art using different materials. She really enjoyed glass blowing and tried her hand at stained glass and glass-on-glass mosaics. At present, she is very excited to be making fused glass art and using pigmented resin on wood.
Tanya also loves to photograph landscapes and cityscapes with a smattering of macro floral photography.
